Walk On Common Ground
Healings, Art, Community Dialogues, Retreats and Channels honoring Brown Hued Women and Our Diversity.
The Ancestors are calling us. We must walk a sacred walk on common ground and remember who we are.
It began on July 4, 2016.
My naiveté surfaced. Exploded really.
Why were my friends, elders and sisters renouncing celebrating the Fourth of July?
As each began to explain their viewpoint. I realized I was entering waters that were uncomfortable, murky and personally very deep.
My mother is a civil rights activist. She founded national civil and women’s rights organizations. My childhood was gravely influenced by the “Movement” While she fought, I know little of black history, slavery, generational atrophy or hate based division no matter how seemingly justified. Our house was torched with the word, NIGGER, spray painted across the fireplace mantle. Only the mantle, the foundation and chard shadows of the house remained. Now in my adulthood I wonder if my mother wanted to keep us safe. Away from the ugliness. So she kept us secure and away from knowing. By the way, this was in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This body of work is foreign to me in a lot of ways. Spirit has exposed me to Christian settings,
new thought and religious science, meditative movement, energy healing, and African Spirituality.
Education is coming through situations, curiosity, outrage and awe. Disbelief that in this day and time
racism is as flagrant as the word NIGGER scrawled across my mother’s hard work almost 40 years ago.
I feel that I am the least likely to be taking on this task, feeling ill equipped and vulnerable.
Shootings, civil unrest, a mother’s grief burdened with explaining the inexplicable to children and
life left behind. Hatred stemmed from centuries of slavery ingrained in psyche and DNA, mistrust,
rape, murder, stealing and God left behind. I asked, Where is the metaphysics in all of this?
Where is the Love?”
When in doubt I go through Spirit. I am being called to bring our diverse beauty together for dialogue,
healing, art and action. Spirit is urging me unrentlessly, through Channel to take action. I think that the
most emphasis is being given to our diversity. That we, as African American women come in a vast variety
of shapes and hues, belief systems and lifestyle, nations and communities. Tension, intolerance and divide
are schisms to our collective psyche and it is time to heal, not only ourselves, the Ancestors are calling for
elevation and evolution of the historic DNA that is being passed from generation-to-generation. Intolerance
amongst ourselves does not honor the contribution and role that each of us makes in transforming the mentality
of our collective into life empowerment, economic non reliance, mental agility and spiritual consciousness for the
majority, if not for all…. There is still free choice!
Below is a series of thoughts, musings and mandates downloaded through my Guidance as answers and urgings
for these two questions by a innocent, grown, intelligent and clueless, heart lead and spiritual Black woman…. Me. I am being educated
and I am putting myself in situations to be educated. I am sure art, prose, healing circles, tributes to our
ancestors and more is on ITS way. I am a spiritual channel and I plan to stay in my lane.
The working title is: The State of Our Womb: Brown Hued Women: Walk On Common Ground.
Here are the themes of Spirit along with Spirit Wisdom and downloads (Paraphrased in some
instances here.)
Use the Subtle Frequencies.
“You have forgotten, being first doesn’t mean anything if you don’t remember the subtleties of what you were first at.”
Communal Oneness
“Heal the divisiveness within the African Women’s womb.”
Heal The Ancestral DNA
“Within One Nation there are many hues. We are one womb. African Women, you must heal the Ancestors through the unified one womb. In healing them you are healing future generations. it’s time to celebrate and elevate our Ancestors”
Heal Your Self
“If you are waging a war inside of your head, you have to go inside to overcome it. Pray. Meditate. Healing Movement. Reiki. The healing begins within.”
ALLNess
No thing separates me from the All Knowing Mind.
Oneness
As a unique individual drop within the ocean of consciousness my essence completes and contributes to Source as a divine eternal energy. My essence is nourished by Source as a divine eternal essence. My essence is manifested by source as a divine eternal energy.
No Thing
Our hair maybe pressed, permed and straighten, braided or twisted, fro’d, weaved, dreds or loc’d, wrapped or wigged. No thing comes between us. No thing is above us. No thing is our master. No thing is our slave. No word is the only. No action is against us. No gift is superior. We harmonize our many hues and our hairs proudly activate commonality, understanding, tolerance, integrity, dignity, pride and respect.
Our Nature.
The Essence of Spirit leads us and Spirit is recognized in Its many forms and aspects.
Fractions are Part of the Whole.
Disagreement brings color, diversity, intellect, wisdom, flowering, and survival. Striving towards sameness brings death. Our disagreements are resolved by asking, What would Love do? What would Love look like? How do we shift to Love? How is this loving and honorable to myself, to my people, to my community, to my heritage, to my cultural history, to my future legacy, to my children, to my family, to my ancestors and to the heart of the One Mind, One Spirit. These are the seeds and the plantings.
Giving to the ALL
Understand that her contribution is her contribution and your contribution is yours. Each is enough.
Each contributes to the ALL.
All is Love
“When a person is before you that you are in disagreement with ask, “What are they loving?” And seek to understand that”
Love Is
Love is magnificent action personified.
Love is silent inflection.
Love is tolerance renounced, healing demystified, strength embodied and wisdom infinite wisdom,
Love is the Infinite I AM.
There is Strength
Understand that there is strength through the ancient wisdom. Love is not weakness. Love is strength. Love is the connective sinew between universe, earth, creature and womb-man.
Through Love strengthen your girth and your gold.
Through Love strengthen your property and your pleasure.
Through Love strengthen your mind, body and Spirit.
Through Love strengthen your manifest destiny and your spiritual Beingness.
Through Love strengthen your culture and your art.
Through Love strengthen all positive and meaningful aspects of your life.
Love is not weakness nor does it command a laying down to rape or a relinquishing of your rights and liberties.
Love is celebration. Love is Soul. Love is inherent nature.
Love does not win and conquer.
Love reveals the beauty in the ugly. the light in the shadows, the communion in the journey. Love is strength resolved.
Black women. Brown women. Cafe au Lait Cream to dark Charcoal Black. Our diverse beauty makes us strong. We must walk on common ground to transform our future. The Ancestors are calling us to do our work. We must walk a sacred walk on common ground and remember who we are.
We are being called. We are being called to release the genetic bondage of our history. The ingrained vestiges of slavery. The generational perpetration of behavior upon ourselves. The Ancestors are calling for relief and release. Calling us to elevate and evolve them and by doing this ourselves.
This happens through the womb of the Brown Woman. The Ancients are saying it is time to rejoice our differences and give accolades to our diversity. Strengthen through a communion with universal law and know that love is the common ground upon which we walk.
It is time. The Ancestors are calling us to rise.
